Punk legends Penetration and my favourite band ever return to Stockton’s Georgian Theatre for the 3rd time on Friday 18th September.
Fronted by the iconic Pauline Murray the band formed at the height of the punk explosion and were one of the most exciting live bands of the time.
They split in 1979 and Pauline Murray produced one of the finest albums of the Eighties with the release of the Martin Hannett produced Pauline Murray & The Invisible Girls.
In late 2000 the band reformed with a new line up based around Pauline Murray and bassist Rob Blamire and gigged occasionally whilst still running the Polestar recording Studio in Newcastle.
The band have played live intermittently since then & have released new material. The singles The Feeling & Our World being released on the highly respected Damaged Goods label.
The band have always done things their own way and at their own pace and now are set to make 2015 a pivotal year with a new album to be released in the late summer/Autumn.
Funded the pledge campaign the target was reached way ahead of te target date and pledges currently stand at 113″% of the target.
The band feature original members Pauline Murray on vocals, Rob Blamire on bass, long standing guitarist Steve Wallace & Paul Harvey and now feature a new drummer in the shape of ex Buzzcock & Invisible Girls member John Maher.
