Next Show

Next show from me is November 29th at The Georgian Theatre – part time rock star full time legend Pete Wylie makes his Stockton debut (as far as I know?)  as part of his Telling Tales series of shows.

Wylie was at the fore front of the punk explosion as part of the (in)famous Liverpool scene centred around the legendary Eric’s club. As part of The Crucial Three with Ian McCulloch & Julian Cope and then as founder member of Wah Heat! Who released the classic Better Scream.1506064_10152822969277678_4939207454111630624_n

Wah have been around in many variations over the years but are probably best known for classics such as Story of The Blues and Come Back although his most recent release The Day That Margaret Thatcher Dies put the cat amongst the pigeons in some quarters.

Pete has always been a champion of the underdog and has long been a supporter of the Justice for the 96 Hillsborough campaign & recently played several benefit shows for the organisation including some with friend & cohort Mick Jones of The Clash alongside him.

This show has been selling really well and although tickets are still available might not be a good idea to wait and try to pay on the door!

Here’s Pete at a recent gig in Huddersfield, a taster of whats in store http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kobrX3ydfWs

Pete has just signed up to the Pledge Music campaign with the aim of recoding a new album entitled “Pete Sounds” – long overdue!

It’s going to be a great night and please make an effort to come down early and catch a wonderful support band from Gateshead called The Girl With The Replaceable Head who’s song Touch Of Evil is an absolute belter, makes the hairs on my neck stand up – have a listen – http://thegirlwiththereplaceablehead.bandcamp.com/

Here’s another track entitled Bad Dreams https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exL5r3R14kg
