Punk Rock For Gentlemen

The Fallen Leaves are without doubt one my favourite bands.

“Their long-held belief that a good idea played badly is better than a bad idea played well, spurred them into action.”

They were booked to play under the  RGR banner but for various reasons we had to cancel so I’m mega pleased that I’ve managed to add them to the bill for the Subway Sect show at The Westgarth on Sat 20th September.

Featuring Rob Symmons (guitar) was the founding member of the original and true version of the Subway Sect. The Indisputable William Lewington IV(Drums), His Imperial Highness Matthew Karas (Bass) & The Reverend Rob Green (singer), who built himself a reputation at Bernie Rhodes’ legendary Club Left.

Their high tempo guitar led music is ideal for a small venue like the downstairs room of The Westgarth. Their music is described as “punk rock for gentlemen” and I think that’s a fabulous description.

“The Fallen Leaves hatred of one another is intense. But it is out of this creative conflict that pop music played with passion rather than precision is born.”

It’s going to be a great night without doubt.
